Sexualisation of society

Everywhere you look in our modern world, you can see sex at every corner, to but name a few examples are:

billboards with suggestive themes,

tv shows with sex scenes, uneccessary sexual themes and values, programs telling you how to look sexier.

magazines telling teenagers different sex positions to try, what the best bits of sex are and how to get sex,

internet sites filled with porn

All this publicising of sex by the media is shaping our world to have no morals at all. it seems that the focus is now what you look like rather than who you are as a person. everything seems to be more and more materialistic. people are no longer people but rather objects. even teenagers are starting to accept these false assumptions as fact. why do we bombard children and our society as a whole with these uneeded values of sex. younger and younger, children are encouraged to have sex. so where does this all stop? what we re ending up with is a society that has no boundaries or limits, a place where people arent treated as people anymore, rather they are treated for what they can be used for.

I wish to believe that people should be viewed for who they are as a person (inside themselves) rather than as sex objects. clearly our society needs to be aiming to reduce sexualisation and create a more loving society for in a society filled with lust, the meaning of love becomes twisted and lost.

But unfortunately our world doesn't look like it wants to change. people are attracted to sexualisation no matter how degrading it is. but we need to break free and start to show some love. we need to break free and protect the children, the teenagers, our human race as a whole. because what has sexualisation brought us? STI's, rape, broken relationships and theres no denying the increased rate of these things. sti ad's shown everywhere now, rape cases becoming more common and divorce rates growing higher. This often leads to psychological problems such as Depression.

Sexualisation doesnt bring us anything no matter how attractive it may be. lets show some love and lose the materialistic nature, moving forward to know people for their personality and who they are.

Sunlight

Trudging ever grudging along the heather,
The melancholy and the brooding of the weather,
And my boots they never wear,
For they are meant for sturdier stuff

The rain can pour and blow
But still I walk on and go
To a place on the edge of the cliff,
The place where everything meets,

As the river starts overflowing
The ravens, they start crowing,
The snow starts to fall
As the land begins its torment,

When i start searching and surveying
I see the land that is laying
And my eyes are filled with content,
And the sun light,
It seeps slowly through the clouds,

A world without meaning

Lets assume that we are in fact a world without a cause. If our world is a random accident and there is no purpose behind it, then that means that there really is no purpose for us. With no purpose in this world why oes our society then try to act as if it has a purpose: we have rules, taboos and sets of ideas that define how we live and how we shold act - but if we really have no purpose then what is the point of that.

If there is no purpose in life then what is the point of following rules, in actual fact what is the point of living. "to be or not to be" - shakespeare. the answer to this question by shakespeare depends on if we have a purpose in life. with no purpose in life, then it holds no advantage to be then not to be. in simpler terms it does not matter if we are dead or alive seeing as there is nothing to live for - there is no purpose.

Why do we follow rules?in a world without meaning, it doesnt matter what we do and say. we could commit a holocaust and be none less than anyone else who lived. in fact if there is no purpoe in life then hitler's third reich and holocaust means nothing. the people who died had no purpose anyway and would not have gained anything if they had been alive.

Without a meaning we should be breaking all the rules and doing whatever we feel like. nothing matters so we too might as well commit genocide. but then again what is the point of living if everything in life doesnt matter. nothing matters in life and in the end all life is, is a whole lot of pain, so by killing lots of people we are helping rid people of the pain that is called life. ultimately that seems to me like a legitimate way to live in a world without a purpose.
In a world without a purpose, Hitler rid millions of the pain of life and ended his own life as well which seems like the only reasonable thing to do with the accident of life. Then why is he such an evil being?

The truth is of the matter is that our society strives forward with rules and so forth because it is a part of us to believe that we have a purpose. - it is our natural instinct.

So imagine a world with a purpose. how does that change who we are? is it really right to say that we are just an accident or is there something more? with a meaning to live we can really live. that our world is an accident does not make sense or fit. it goes against our natural instinct to have a purpose. why fight to believe that we have no purpose and end up believing in rules? with no purpose, "rules" do not exist.

A suicidal society

All that i can see in life is people rushing around, rushing around to get further up the heirachy of life. after primary school, people are itching to get to high school then after high school it becoems a rush to get to university then a rush to work, get promotions and retire but ultimately theres always one thing at the end and that is death. people always seem to be rushing through life regardless of the fact that death is always at the end. to me this rushing through life seems a bit suicidal.

i think we should be taking life slower and savouring it more, so as to not rush through and miss everything. break the monotonous chain of life and enjoy it. for it seems our society as a whole is acting suspiciously suicidal.

~ enjoy life ~

What is Love?

what is love?

Is it not waiting to get what you want but never wanting to give?

or is it always waiting patiently and never waiting to give everything?
