billboards with suggestive themes,
tv shows with sex scenes, uneccessary sexual themes and values, programs telling you how to look sexier.
magazines telling teenagers different sex positions to try, what the best bits of sex are and how to get sex,
internet sites filled with porn
All this publicising of sex by the media is shaping our world to have no morals at all. it seems that the focus is now what you look like rather than who you are as a person. everything seems to be more and more materialistic. people are no longer people but rather objects. even teenagers are starting to accept these false assumptions as fact. why do we bombard children and our society as a whole with these uneeded values of sex. younger and younger, children are encouraged to have sex. so where does this all stop? what we re ending up with is a society that has no boundaries or limits, a place where people arent treated as people anymore, rather they are treated for what they can be used for.
I wish to believe that people should be viewed for who they are as a person (inside themselves) rather than as sex objects. clearly our society needs to be aiming to reduce sexualisation and create a more loving society for in a society filled with lust, the meaning of love becomes twisted and lost.
But unfortunately our world doesn't look like it wants to change. people are attracted to sexualisation no matter how degrading it is. but we need to break free and start to show some love. we need to break free and protect the children, the teenagers, our human race as a whole. because what has sexualisation brought us? STI's, rape, broken relationships and theres no denying the increased rate of these things. sti ad's shown everywhere now, rape cases becoming more common and divorce rates growing higher. This often leads to psychological problems such as Depression.
Sexualisation doesnt bring us anything no matter how attractive it may be. lets show some love and lose the materialistic nature, moving forward to know people for their personality and who they are.
