A world without meaning

Lets assume that we are in fact a world without a cause. If our world is a random accident and there is no purpose behind it, then that means that there really is no purpose for us. With no purpose in this world why oes our society then try to act as if it has a purpose: we have rules, taboos and sets of ideas that define how we live and how we shold act - but if we really have no purpose then what is the point of that.

If there is no purpose in life then what is the point of following rules, in actual fact what is the point of living. "to be or not to be" - shakespeare. the answer to this question by shakespeare depends on if we have a purpose in life. with no purpose in life, then it holds no advantage to be then not to be. in simpler terms it does not matter if we are dead or alive seeing as there is nothing to live for - there is no purpose.

Why do we follow rules?in a world without meaning, it doesnt matter what we do and say. we could commit a holocaust and be none less than anyone else who lived. in fact if there is no purpoe in life then hitler's third reich and holocaust means nothing. the people who died had no purpose anyway and would not have gained anything if they had been alive.

Without a meaning we should be breaking all the rules and doing whatever we feel like. nothing matters so we too might as well commit genocide. but then again what is the point of living if everything in life doesnt matter. nothing matters in life and in the end all life is, is a whole lot of pain, so by killing lots of people we are helping rid people of the pain that is called life. ultimately that seems to me like a legitimate way to live in a world without a purpose.
In a world without a purpose, Hitler rid millions of the pain of life and ended his own life as well which seems like the only reasonable thing to do with the accident of life. Then why is he such an evil being?

The truth is of the matter is that our society strives forward with rules and so forth because it is a part of us to believe that we have a purpose. - it is our natural instinct.

So imagine a world with a purpose. how does that change who we are? is it really right to say that we are just an accident or is there something more? with a meaning to live we can really live. that our world is an accident does not make sense or fit. it goes against our natural instinct to have a purpose. why fight to believe that we have no purpose and end up believing in rules? with no purpose, "rules" do not exist.

~ There is a meaning, and we do have a purpose ~
